We were born from the idea of merging our skills, and the name makemoki was a complete mistake. We initially started looking for a name talking about us 'making' stuff, but the way we actually begin to pronounce it is not in the English way! It also turned out that the word moki, which was taken because it sounded funny, is a fish. Yes, not really related to design. We got attached to the fish, so we decided to keep it with us as a lucky charm. Indeed we feel that this little animal wanders around and discovers extraordinary places like us in our studio so that we kept it with us as embodiment of our brand
